How to Record on PowerPoint — All Versions

#2 PowerPoint for Older Windows Versions

Step 1: Open up PowerPoint and click slide show on the upper toolbar.

Step 2: Tick the boxes for your recording in the pop-up window and hit Start recording.

Tips: You can pause and re-record your slide show in the upper left corner of the window.

Step 3: Right-click in the final slide to put an end to your show.

Tips: Using this approach, it’s like stitching together each slides and it’s hard to have natural voiceover recorded.

#3 PowerPoint for macOS

Step 1: Hit the Slide Show button and click Record Slide Show in your starting slide.

Tips: Press Ctrl and click to call out pointer options while recording.

Step 3: Choose Yes to save your slide show in the pop-up window.
